London Irish Foundation Delivers Over 650 Christmas Presents to Children’s Hospices and Hospitals

We marked our annual Christmas Present Delivery Day on the 15th December 2025, spreading festive cheer to children and families across Surrey and Berkshire with the delivery of more than 650 Christmas gifts.

The day began early at Hazelwood, where our staff and volunteers loaded the Foundation van and minibus before heading to our first stop, The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice in Hampton. The presents were warmly received by staff and children alike, and the smiles on their faces were priceless.

After completing the first delivery, a quick pitstop at Hazelwood to reload before setting off again for two further major drop-offs at Frimley Park Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital, ensuring children on the wards would receive gifts during the Christmas period.

In total, we delivered over 650 presents to The Shooting Star Foundation and the children’s wards at Frimley Park Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital. The nursing staff we met expressed their gratitude and told us how much joy the gifts will bring to children spending Christmas in hospital, whether through illness or while supporting sick parents.

We are extremely grateful to Pump Technology Ltd and Jeremy Brownlee for their continued generosity in supplying the Foundation van and car used to transport the presents. Our thanks also go to the London Irish Supporters Club, whose support enabled us to purchase the minibus, which proved essential given the volume of gifts delivered.

With hospitals particularly busy at this time of year and the ongoing flu outbreak, access to children’s wards was restricted to mask-only zones. As a result, Digger was unable to make an appearance, despite being keen to show off his new rugby shirt!

We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, and we look forward to continuing our work in the community in 2026.
