The day began early at Hazelwood, where our staff and volunteers loaded the Foundation van and minibus before heading to our first stop, The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice in Hampton. The presents were warmly received by staff and children alike, and the smiles on their faces were priceless. ![](https://www.londonirishfoundation.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Xmas%20g-jpg.jpeg?width=500&height=436&name=Xmas%20g-jpg.jpeg) After completing the first delivery, a quick pitstop at Hazelwood to reload before setting off again for two further major drop-offs at Frimley Park Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital, ensuring children on the wards would receive gifts during the Christmas period. In total, we delivered over 650 presents to The Shooting Star Foundation and the children’s wards at Frimley Park Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital. The nursing staff we met expressed their gratitude and told us how much joy the gifts will bring to children spending Christmas in hospital, whether through illness or while supporting sick parents. ![](https://www.londonirishfoundation.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Xmas%205-jpeg.jpeg?width=500&height=375&name=Xmas%205-jpeg.jpeg) We are extremely grateful to Pump Technology Ltd and Jeremy Brownlee for their continued generosity in supplying the Foundation van and car used to transport the presents. As a result, Digger was unable to make an appearance, despite being keen to show off his new rugby shirt!
