London Irish Foundation Partners with kitround to create stronger communities through the power of sport

The London Irish Community Foundation has officially teamed up with kitround, the UK’s first dedicated platform for pregamed sportswear and circular kit redistribution. This exciting extended partnership is built on a shared vision: to harness the power of sport to inspire, empower, and uplift young people from all walks of life.

By working together, the Foundation and kitround aim to expand access to sports programmes, nurture young talent, and strengthen local communities, one donation, one match, and one young athlete at a time.

A Partnership with Purpose

Sport has long been a unifying force, capable of driving social change and building resilience. Recognising this, kitround provides a unique platform where individuals can donate preloved sports gear, or a portion of their sale proceeds, directly to grassroots initiatives. These donations are then channelled into vital projects that provide coaching, equipment, facilities, and opportunities for young people to thrive.

“This partnership is about more than just sports,” said Andy Keast, CEO of the London Irish Foundation. “It’s about creating access, building confidence, and giving young people the tools they need to grow both on and off the field.”

How Your Support Helps

Whether you're an athlete, parent, coach, or simply passionate about giving back, your support through kitround has a far-reaching impact:

  • Funding Sports Programmes: Your donations help grassroots charities run structured, inclusive sports programmes that provide coaching, equipment, and safe spaces to play.
  • Nurturing Talent: Resources go toward youth development initiatives that identify and support emerging talent while also promoting teamwork and leadership.
  • Boosting Health and Well-being: With increased access to regular physical activity, young people benefit from improved mental and physical health.
  • Fostering Inclusion: Sport brings people together, and grassroots efforts ensure that no one is left on the sidelines due to background or income.

Sustainability Meets Accessibility

kitround’s model also promotes sustainability by encouraging the reuse of sports gear. This not only reduces waste but also makes equipment more affordable, widening access to sport for families who may otherwise be priced out.

“We’re creating a community that believes in the power of sport to change lives,” said Adam Stevens, Co-Founder at kitround. “Together with the London Irish Community Foundation, we’re making sports more sustainable, accessible, and impactful.”
