In 2019 the London Irish Foundation partnered with Adviza to deliver the Prince’s Trust Team Programme in Reading.

Adviza has been the delivery partner for the Prince’s Trust Team Programme in Berkshire since 2007. During this time, they have delivered over 70 Team programmes. In the past two academic years they have had 90% retention and a 94 per cent success rate.

The Team Programme offers personal development training for people aged 16 to 25 years and is designed to re-engage young people, helping them to think about their futures and move forward, ultimately into employment, education or training.

The Team Programme delivers three times a year starting in September, January and May.

The Qualification is a Level 1 employment, teamwork in community skills.

During the 12-week programme, participants will:

  • Learn the importance of teamwork
  • Attend a five-day team building residential course
  • Develop and learn new skills
  • Undertake projects aimed at helping the local community
  • Complete a work placement
  • Plan, organise and deliver a team presentation

B.E.A.T THE STREET

Beat the Street’ is an intervention programme for people affected by homelessness in and around the Borough of Spelthorne.

BEAT the Street not only introduces participants to rugby but runs workshops to help with mental health, addiction and aspects on how to move forward. The idea is to use rugby to get active, but by linking in its core values it highlights in other skills.
