Supporters Club Donation to Fund SEND Schools Programme in 2026

The London Irish Foundation is delighted to announce that a £1,000 donation made in February 2026 by the London Irish Supporters Club will directly fund its upcoming SEND School Delivery Programme in Spring 2026.

Foundation CEO Andy Keast commented that “The latest donation continues a growing history of supporter-led backing for the Foundation’s work, following previous four-figure donations and the successful funding of the Foundation’s community minibus.”

This February’s £1,000 donation has been allocated specifically to support delivery in Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Schools across London, Middlesex and Berkshire. The programme will provide inclusive rugby and physical activity sessions, specialist engagement support, and structured wellbeing activities for pupils who will benefit from tailored provision.

Schools already scheduled to receive delivery as part of the 2026 programme attended the Foundation Inclusion Festival in December 2025 (click here to read more ) and include:

    • Oaklands High School
    • Addington School
    • The Castle School
    • Cippenham School

With more schools confirming daily, the project sprung into action with sessions that will run through to the summer term, including after-school provision, inclusion sports based activities, and structured engagement days designed to build confidence, teamwork, and physical literacy.

For the Foundation, the donation ensures that specialist coaching staff can deliver consistent weekly sessions, transport equipment where required, and maintain access to inclusive sporting opportunities for young people who may otherwise face barriers to participation

The Supporters Club’s backing once again highlights the close relationship between fans and the Foundation’s mission. From helping secure the community minibus in 2023 to two £1,000 donations the London Irish supporters Club continue to play an active role in sustaining the grassroots SEND impact of the Foundation.

Rhys Mynott, The Foundation’s SEND lead described the funding as “a vital boost that allows us to continue expanding our inclusive delivery in SEND schools, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to engage in sport in a supportive and positive.
