Pump Technology Ltd: Community Partnership
PUMP TECHNOLOGY - COMMUNITY FOUNDATION PARTNERSHIP
Pump Technology Ltd has built a long-standing and multifaceted partnership with London Irish Rugby Club and the London Irish Foundation, reflecting a deep commitment to sport, community engagement, and corporate social responsibility. What began as a sports sponsorship has evolved into a powerful alliance driving meaningful change in communities across the UK.
A Legacy in Sport: Partnership with London Irish Rugby Club
Since 2005, Pump Technology Ltd has been a proud supporter of London Irish Rugby Club, becoming an official partner in 2008, making it one of the longest-running sponsorships in Premiership Rugby. Their branding has been a familiar sight at the Madejski Stadium and on first-team jerseys during key competitions such as the Aviva Premiership, LV= Cup, and Amlin Challenge Cup. The company has also backed individual players, including Tom Parton and Waisake Naholo, and contributed to community outreach programs that foster resilience and confidence among young people.
Expanding Impact: Support for the London Irish Foundation
In 2019, the London Irish Foundation was established as the club’s official charitable arm. Pump Technology Ltd quickly extended its support to the Foundation, becoming an instrumental partner in its mission to drive education, inclusivity, and well-being through sport and social programmes. Their contributions have included donating vehicles to support the delivery of community projects and sponsoring health campaigns such as free PSA testing for men over 40.
Leadership from Pump Technology Ltd also plays an active governance role, with Chairman Jeremy Brownlee serving as a Foundation trustee. His involvement, alongside Managing Director Jonathan Barker, exemplifies a hands-on approach to community investment.
Official Charity Partner: Fueling Programmes that Matter
The partnership was formally recognised with Pump Technology Ltd named as an official Charity Partner of the London Irish Foundation, cementing over five years of collaborative impact. Through this partnership, the company helps fund and deliver programmes that make a tangible difference:
- Inclusive Sports Initiatives – Providing coaching, equipment, and safe spaces for people of all abilities.
- Youth Development – Offering mentorship and team-building programmes that foster life skills and open pathways to employment.
- Health and Well-being – Supplying vital equipment like defibrillators and promoting mental and physical wellness in underserved communities.
- Violence Reduction Initiatives – Supporting targeted programmes like the Summer VRU Training Initiative for young girls.
A Shared Vision for Lasting Change
“Sport is a powerful unifier,” said Andy Keast, CEO of the London Irish Foundation. “This partnership is about more than rugby, it’s about access, opportunity, and empowering individuals. Working with Jonathan Barker and Jeremy Brownlee has shown what genuine community investment looks like.”
Jeremy Brownlee echoed this sentiment: “Together, we believe in the power of sport to transform lives. Our partnership with the Foundation is about creating lasting change for those who need it most.”
This unified narrative captures the full scope of Pump Technology Ltd.’s impactful partnership, where engineering excellence meets social purpose, and where sport becomes a tool for hope, inclusion, and transformation.
