Foundation Secure Funding With The Greater London Authority To Deliver The EmpowerHER Programme In The Borough Of Brent
The London Irish Foundation are extremely pleased to announce a partnership with the The Greater London Authority, and the Rugby Football Union (RFU) as we prepare to deliver the EmpowerHER programme to the schools and clubs within the London Borough of Brent.
The London EmpowerHER fund allows us to deliver rugby and leadership activities to young women and girls in Year 7 to Year 11.
The participants involved in this programme will develop skills and confidence, as well as being able to obtain a certificate through the Street Games coaching programme.
Our team are excited for the opportunity to deliver this programme, with our CEO Andy Keast saying the following : " With the Women's Rugby World Cup being staged at Twickenham in September 2025, alongside the women and girls game growth, it is an exciting opportunity for our rugby development and community engagement objectives to flourish further, the next 16-months is an important and exciting time for the landscape of English rugby".
