Today as the core of the festive period approaches, London Irish Foundation held a Christmas Coaching High Performance Camp at Hazelwood, Sunbury-on-Thames.
The camp was designed for players aged 12-18, and was attended by players from all surrounding counties arriving for a day of learning, and skill mastery.
The camp consisted of stations focused on teaching, and enhanced technique development in the core skills of rugby.
Players took part in drills and games involving tackling, breakdown, passing, kicking and decision making.
Throughout the day the players skills were challenged via numerous game specific situations, with their development, willingness and improvement clear to see.
All of us at the Foundation would like to thank all those who attended the camp today, and wish them and their families a very Merry Christmas.
Johnny O'Hehir (Foundation Community Lead) said, "The enthusiasm from the boys today at the camp was superb. Their desire to learn whilst having lots of fun was inspiring to all, and we were delighted that they could join us today at Hazelwood".
"From all of us at the Foundation, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you again in 2024".
