The Heathrow Community Trust's mission is to enable communities to thrive, by having a positive impact on the lives of people in the communities surrounding the airport. Through this funding our team at The London Irish Foundation are able to deliver multisport activities in schools and sports clubs on either side of the Heathrow flight path.
We will be running the six week multi-sport programme in 8 different primary and secondary schools on the east and west of the Heathrow flight path. On the West we have Khalsa School, Bishopsgate School, Braywood School and Kings Court School. On the East we have Bedfont School, Town Farm School, Stanwell Fields School and Edward Pauling School.
The London Irish Foundations Inclusion Officer Rhys Mynott is the delivery lead for this programme and he said,
"I am delighted to be working with Heathrow Community Trust to deliver multi-sport activity sessions to the chosen schools on the East and West of the Heathrow flight path !"
The London Irish Foundation's Head of Operations Wayne Wedgbury said:
" We are excited to be working alongside Jenny Mclaughlin from Heathrow Airport, who has helped us to develop this programme in conjunction with the Heathrow Community Trust"
